The Rachel Circle is open to all members of the church.  It's mission includes ministering to shut-ins and cheer club members through cards, calls, and gifts of fruit, etc.  The Circle plans the Women's Christmas Dinner and provides decorations.  In conjunction with LWML, the Dinner is a very popular activity and is open to members of St. Johns and their guests.

The Altar Guild of St. John's Lutheran Church is made up of a group of dedicated ladies who work in quiet service to our Lord. Each Sunday, the guild prepares communion, insures the proper paraments are placed on the altar, lectern, and pulpit, facilitates the altar flower order, fills the oil in the candles, launders and irons the communion linens, and makes sure the eternal light is always burning. During holidays such as Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, the altar guild is responsible for special decorations in the church.

There may also be needs in association with a funeral or a wedding service. Rena Walker serves as the wedding coordinator. This is a big job that entails meeting with the wedding party and insuring that church guidelines are followed during the ceremony. Rena is also present during the rehearsal and wedding to be available for any detail or emergency.  If you wish to serve, you will find it truly rewarding as you minister in the solitude of our beautiful sanctuary.
