LUTHERAN WOMEN'S MISSIONARY LEAGUE
Frauenverein

The women's organization of St. John's celebrated its 135th Anniversary dring 2011.  It is significant to note that only 25 years after the founding of St. John's, a group of women had a vision to organize "Frauenverein" in order to serve special needs of the congregation.

Who We Are
The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is the official women's auxiliary of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman's relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.

MISSIONS
Our purpose is to inform, encourage, and inspire women to be actively involved in supporting Mission Outreach.

MITES
Our 2012 goal for collection of Mites is $600.00 to be collected by March 15, 2012.  We would like to reach our goal and would appreciate everyone's participation to do this.  You may give your Mites to our LWML treasurer, MK Frushour, or drop them in the large Mite box at the rear of the church.  Remember our Mites help spread the Gospel throughout our state, our Nation and the World.
Mites are contributions of small change.

Women's Quarterly Subscriptions cost $5.50 for the year.
LOCAL ACTIVITIES
LWML raises money for missions through sponsoring the annual Sauerkraut Dinner.  Over 500 people attend the wonderful meal of kraut, pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, roll, and great pie.

Another favorite is the annual rummage sale.

LWML also gives to projects within our local church, such as repairing the organ and contributing
to the choir fund.

The chapter also works with the Rachel Circle to organize the annual Women's Christmas dinner.
